This is the best!!! Sun exposure is something that I have to worry about on a regular basis. I take medication that makes it virtually impossible to stay in the sun for long periods of time. This sucks , because my family and I aren't outside family. We like camping, theme parks, et cetera. This hurry makes it possible for me to participate in a more meaningful way. It reflects sun really well and really helps cut back on sweating. The fabric is super lightweight and really velvety to the touch. A life saver!
The Stelle Women’s UPF 50+ Sun Protection Jacket Hoodie is a lightweight, breathable layer that’s well-suited for sunny days. It does run a bit oversized—if you prefer a more fitted look like the model, you may want to size down. I personally like a looser fit, but in this case, I do wish I had gone down one size. The fabric is a crisp, bright white, and the overall feel is comfortable for extended wear. The sleeves are nicely designed with extra length and thumb holes, allowing you to extend coverage over your hands. One standout feature is the removable sun visor, which zips off easily. While that adds some flexibility, I found that when the visor is removed and the hood is worn, it leaves some awkward side flaps near the neck that don’t look quite right. So while it reduces bulk, it’s not as versatile in appearance as I had hoped. That said, I do appreciate the added coverage this jacket offers for the neck and face when needed. The hood also has a thoughtful opening at the back for long hair, which is a great touch if you don’t want to bunch everything underneath. The zippers work smoothly, and the jacket feels well-constructed overall. It’s also reassuring that it’s SGS-certified for UPF 50+ sun protection. At its price point, this feels like a solid value, especially for the level of coverage and comfort it provides. I rated the Stelle Women’s UPF 50+ Sun Protection Jacket Hoodie 4 stars, mainly due to the fit and the slightly awkward look when the visor is removed.
It’s true to size, well almost for me. I could’ve gotten away with a XS for a tighter fit, but a small fits a bit baggy, but will allow me to layer more underneath. I usually wear a S/SX depending on the clothing. This hoodie is incredibly breathable and feels airy. It also has a nice stretch. This is perfect for the outdoors, especially hiking trips. The face cover is one of the best parts. It will save me from having to inhale all that dust the kids creates when trying to beat me to the top, lol. I live in the Pacific Northwest, and besides being able to layer up on colder days, the face cover also helps protect me from the sharp, cold wind we get here. So, it serves multiple purposes beyond sun protection. I love that it has thumb holes! Also, the visor portion on the hood is detachable. Overall, I am very happy with this item.
I ordered this sun hoodie to wear outside in the summer months. It is lightweight and cooling against my skin, so even though it is long sleeve, it doesn't feel too oppressively hot. There are a couple features of this sun hoodie that I really like. One is the ponytail hole for the hood and another is the visor that provides more coverage over your face. I probably will not use the face cover as much just as a personal preference but it's nice to have just in case I need it in certain situations outside. I am usually L in Womens tops and ordered my usual size, it fits true to size with some room for movement which is great because I hate skin tight clothes. It's super easy to fold this up and toss in my backpack and I don't even need to bring a separate hat!
I'm really liking the Stelle UPF 50+ Sun Protection Jacket. It's great for morning dog walks along the beach and weekend hikes. The fabric feels soft and lightweight, and the cooling sensation is noticeable as soon as you put it on. I especially appreciate the stretch. It doesn't feel heavy or restrictive at all. The sun protection is one of the main reasons I ordered it, and while I can’t measure the UPF myself, it’s reassuring that it’s SGS-certified. I also like the removable brim and face cover; they provide good coverage for my neck and face, especially when I’m out in full sun or in the desert. The mesh around the face helps a lot with breathability, so I never felt overheated, even on super hot days. A few small details stand out: the ponytail hole is a nice feature, and the thumbholes keep the sleeves down without being too tight. The side pockets are also nice since women's clothing doesn't always have pockets. Fit-wise, it’s a little on the relaxed side, so it’s comfortable over a tank top or t-shirt. I’ve worn it for hiking and just out running errands, and it works well. I haven’t tested it on the hottest days of summer yet, but so far, it’s living up to expectations.
