The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and versatile Junior Photographer to join our small, collaborative photography team. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, grow their technical skills, and contribute creatively across the full photography process—from shooting and styling to retouching.

The Junior Photographer will exercise independent artistic judgment within established brand guidelines, contribute original visual solutions, and support the visual storytelling of the Stelle brand through thoughtful, detail-driven work. The ideal candidate is comfortable working hands-on with product photography and is excited to expand their expertise through mentorship, particularly in e-commerce product styling if they do not yet have experience.

As our industry continues to evolve with emerging AI tools and workflows, we are looking for someone open to learning new techniques, experimenting thoughtfully, and sharing insights with the team while taking ownership of their work and creative decisions.

This position reports to the Photography Director and offers an opportunity for career growth in a team that values creativity, technical expertise, and strategic contribution.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute day-to-day photography needs, including e-commerce and marketing assets such as on-figure, still life, and pinup photography.
• Style and photograph product in alignment with brand standards.
• Retouch imagery using advanced techniques, including masking, color correction, liquify, frequency separation (skin and textures), and background replacement.
• Steam, prep, and organize products for photoshoots.
• Maintain a clean, organized studio, including care of equipment and basic computer maintenance.
• Maintain consistent, organized file management for all photography assets
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of team processes, workflows, and collaboration.
• Stay current with industry best practices in photography, lighting, retouching, and AI technologies.

What we're looking for

• 2–5 years of photography experience shooting in a studio environment using strobe lighting systems (portfolio link required)
• Demonstrated ability to exercise creative discretion while producing original work with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Capture One and retouching images using Adobe Photoshop techniques.
• Strong communication skills are essential, including the confidence to direct and communicate clearly with models on set, ask questions, understand the “why” and “how” behind projects, and proactively communicate project status.
• Comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment with evolving priorities.
• Highly organized, proactive, and self-motivated, with a curiosity for exploring new ideas, tools, and trends.
• Experience navigating both mature brand environments and lean, growing teams, with the ability to adapt processes and expectations accordingly, is a plus.
• Prior product styling experience is a strong plus, especially with pinups.
• Additional skills such as AI image rendering or video shooting and editing experience are a plus, but not required.
